Great hotel!!
Everything exceeded expectations. I was here for a one night with my wife. Check-in was quick and friendly. Hotel was clean and every area was in like fresh and well maintained. The room was spacious and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was the delicious and with Variety of dishes - everything was good and appeared SPOTLESS. The location was safe and superb - near Applebee’s Restaurants with other several restaurant chains nearby. All in all a very pleasant stay at clean premises run by friendly competent staff. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

I LOVE the Kentucky Theatre. They play just about everything. In the summertime they have old movies on Wednesday nights and it’s a lot of fun. This summer they’re showing stuff like “Jailhouse Rock”, “Imitation of Life”, “Cabaret”, and “A Touch of Evil.” They also show independent films, local films, and even ballgames sometimes. Of course, they show recent releases, too. On Friday and Saturday nights they have midnight movies. Sometimes they do the Rocky Horror show although I’ve never gotten into that myself. I have, however, seen “Poltergeist” there at midnight and that was cool. A couple of weeks ago they showed documentaries on environmental issues concerning Eastern Kentucky. It was nice and they had a great turnout.
Definitely an alternative thing to do in the evening.
Mi-Mexico, Rincon Mexicano,...

Mi-Mexico, Rincon Mexicano, and Jalapenos Believe it or not, Lexington has some of the BEST authentic Mexican food you will find north of the border. For many, many years now immigrants from all over Central America have been coming to central Kentucky to work in the tobacco fields as migrant workers. Over the years many of these workers have permanently moved to the region with their families. Some of these families have opened up restaurants featuring fare from their homelands. Mi-Mexico, Rincon Mexicano, and Jalapenos are all wonderful examples of restaurants that have started this way. Each offers very good food and drink. You cannot go wrong by dining at any one of these establishments. Fajitas!
Southern Hospitality
by Ky_Happy_Dad about The Campbell House Inn
After many years of neglect, the Campbell House Inn is being restored and has a great Sunday buffet featuring roast beef, fried chicken, and side items.
Another good Sunday Buffet located near I-64/75 is the Marriott at Griffin Gate.
