The hotel is not downtown, but is only ~ 3 miles away, so for the difference in price, it's not a bad drive. The room could use some updates - the lampshade over the bed was destroyed and kinda gave the room a "shabby" feeling. The hinges on the bathroom door had been painted, so the door did not latch closed. But the room was clean and a nice size, and the access to the pool was GREAT.
Free continental breakfast includes: pastries, breads, oatmeal, cereals, waffles, juices, milk and coffee.
Outside-entry hotel with a very nice, well-kept swimming pool, and free continental breakfast. Loved the fact our room was equipped with a microwave and mini-fridge, as well as a coffee maker and hair dryer. Some updates would be nice, but for the price, it is an above-standard budget hotel which would be great for families or a cheap weekend getaway.
This is very general, but depending on where in the city you need to be, there's sure to be a hotel in the area. Duh. But if you are looking for specific hotels, please ask.
Range from $20 something per night (I dunno where) to $$$$$...
We were going south for vacation (Miami) when we stopped at this hotel. The kids were wired so we stopped early (4 PM) and looked for a hotel with a pool. The idea being to get the kids tired out, get a good nights rest and continue in the morning. We stopped at a chain hotel. Inquiring about availability, I asked to see the pool. Small. They didn't have the room we needed but they said a great place to stay with kids was the Hearthstone Inn/Pirate's Bay Water Park. This hotel had an enormous indoor complex with water slides, fountains, even a cafe. The room was nice and it was well worth the extra cost to get the water park room.
I definitely would recommend this hotel/waterpark to anyone travelling with kids.
Wonderful water park. Free breakfast (great for kids). Rooms were nice but the mattresses were excellent. Slept like a baby- even with a baby and toddler.
