We stayed at this facility on a Sat and Sun in June. The first night was fine, nothing exceptional. The actual building was very nice, but there weren't enough linens on hand for the extra bed, and we had to call down to room service twice before we got sheets and a blanket, even then they were short on pillows, so we just used one off of the couch. We stayed up late Sunday night with our kids playing a board game and planned on sleeping until 10am and checking out at 11am. At 8am we were all woken up by what sounded like a nightclub on top of our heads. We finally gave up on it ending at 9am, and when I opened the windows, to the lovely view of a dumpster, I saw piles of carpet being dropped from the window above. I called the front desk, in morning-grump mode, and asked why we hadn't been told that they would be taking carpet up in the room above us at 8am. The front desk attendant was very rude and said that check out time was in a few hours anyway. I was then advised that the assistant manager would be in a meeting all morning, and the manager was out of town for several days. I called in a complaint through the company we had made reservations with, and they said we would be contacted by mail from the hotel. The hotel manager sent us a very condescending letter saying that the construction hadn't started until noon, which was check out time. This was totally ridiculous, considering we checked out before 10am due to the noise, and wouldn't have known about the construction if it had started 2 hours after we checked out. We never were able to contact the manager. My husband frequently stays at Comfort Suites for buisness trips and has no other complaints about other chains, but stay away from this one! If you have any problems, you may have difficulty finding someone willing to so much as listen to you. Leave a Comment |
