On most of my trips, I've stayed at the Holiday Inn and been very pleased. The HI is on Hwy 30 at Exit 177 of I-10. I don't know the non-company rates, but I would guess that they are in the $80/night range. The HI has a good cable package for those of us who like getting our news from FOX News, watching the crazy Australian bothering crocs, gators, and snakes, and watching Brooke Burk do anything on Wild On on E!.
I've also stayed at the Quality Inn that is just across the street. The quality of the rooms and the price are about the same, but the cable offerings are much less.
In the same area are a Best Western and another similar place whose name I don't remember. A Comfort Inn is just west of the interstate. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
