Lexington Hotel New Orleans Airport

Location

This hotel is directly located near the airport, when you drive from the arrivals you can see it at the first intersection you cross. This makes it ideal if you don't want to travel far when you had a long flight.

What does it have

It has a Denny''s restaurant connected to the hotel which is open 24 hours a day we got some take out and we had no complaints about the food.

There is a swimming pool, which did look ok but was directly located next to the parking lot, but it is fenched.

It should have continental breakfast but the desk klerk didn't told us were and we didn't find it either (we didn't really searched for it either). When we arrived on May 31, 2003 in the evening there was a female behind the front desk, she wasn't nice and she wasn't unpleasant, she just did her job and not a thing more she didn't tell anything about the hotel or whatsoever.

Another thing you should check at Best Western in general is when you have a Gold Crown Club Card if they ad your points, this was our second time we booked with our GCC number and didn't get the points credited automaticaly.

Unique Quality: Room

When we arrived at the hotel we were a bit disapointed the outside didn't look so promissing and we were happy that we just booked one night in this hotel. But when we entered the room everything we were surprised positivly, the room was in perfect order and clean. We don't know if the room was recently renovated but it looked that way, it made us forget about the outside.
We had a king bed and a non smoking room.
Dialing toll free numbers didn't had a service charge as some hotels do.

Bathroom
In the bath room everything was in working order, there was good water presure from the shower, which isn't always the case.

Airport Shuttle

The hotel had a 24 hour airport shuttle, we didn't use but it can come in handy when you just want to go to the hotel, we got our rental car first.

VT prices are per person, the room was $59,00 before tax !

Directions: From New Orleans International Airport, take the exit ramp to the Best Western Inn at the Airport. From Interstate 10, exit 233/Williams Boulevard, South to Airline Highway. Go west ½ mile to hotel (on left - across from airport).
