I couldn't believe it, but when you go to Louisiana you will see drive-thru daiquiri stands everywhere. This is the cool thing to do. As long as the driver doesn't drink it, then you're okay. Drinking and driving is against the law. But I was a passenger and I benefitted from stopping at one of these stands. I had the strawberry daiquiri and it was excellent!

The Chapelle des Attakapas is a reproduction of the Catholic Churches at Pointe Coupee (1760) and St Martnville (1773). Religion played an important part in the Acadian lifestyle and the church was a focal point of the community.
This has got to be one of the most enjoyable places on the planet (outside of the three HOT months in the summer) if you love good food, good music and friendly people. REAL Cajun food ROCKS. I always thought it was blackened Cajun chicken or fish they served at Applebees or Chilis. But when i got there and had the real thing, I was blown away.
