Not much in Lafayette. They may appreciate the mall, but the one in Beaumont is closer, I believe.
You could also take them down to Cameron for the beach.

There's not much else to do in Lafayette, but shop. They could go to the Mall, or to see Acadian Village, but other than shopping, Lafayette is not much to see. A day trip to Holly Beach would be something to do. The last time I passed through there, it was really quiet, but if you're going the Lafayette route as a diversion, you may want to head the other way. Not much over that way to do but shop, as I said before. Hope that helped.

In addition to all the cultural attractions within Vermillionville there is a short, easy nature trail that follows the shoreline of the bayous and showcases the animal and plantlife indigenous to the area.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette (refered to by some as U-lala, get it?)
Our campus is rather cute, based on new England college design (which is not reflected in this aweful picture which I got off its web site). It has an attendence of 17,000 and is the 2nd biggest university in Louisiana.
