Convenient - but Needs Updating
Hotel is of the "motor lodge" style - rooms enter from the outside. The location was very convenient to my office (this was a work trip), and under per diem, which was hard to find since it was a holiday and Essence Festival weekend.
My room (115) was mostly clean (the carpet & chairs had stains & there was some dirt buildup at the corners of the bathroom floor). I'm not terribly picky with hotels - as long as it is clean and safe, I'm fine. I will say the mattresses and linens were new and WONDERFUL - OMG, it was so comfortable! Only complaint was a small separation between the door and frame, so when my neighbor went outside to smoke (which he did frequently), the smoke would drift into my room...
The hotel has an outside pool which looked well kept, and free continental breakfast in the lobby. The selections did not change (waffle station, breads - bagels, muffins, raisin bread, juice, coffee, boiled eggs, and fruit) but, hey - free is GOOD! If you want something different, there is a 24-hour City Diner in the same parking lot.
