Clarion Collection Garden District Hotel New Orleans

The Garden District Hotel is very convenient to the street car line (at this time it's not running, but there is a bus on the route). It's also next to a grocery store where you can buy street car/bus passes. The Visitors Association is a short walk. There's also a great little bar - Igor's. Igor's not only serves beer and BBQ, it's open 24 hours and has a landry. The price is right too. It is in need of a little repair, but it met my needs very well. For some odd reason the elevators are really run down, but overlook this and you'll be fine. The hotel staff is very helpful.

Unique Quality: A quaint little hot tub on the second floor roof. A great way to relax after a few pops at Igor's.

$70 + $15 for valet parking. Not too shabby. Might just have been in the off season, but still...

Unique Quality: Good location, friendly staff, valet parking (!), relatively inexpensive ($70 per room per night + $15 a night for valet parking, but with 4 folks, that's cheap!). The cable TV wasn't working quite right, but who needs TV in New Orleans? 8.5/10.
