DO NOT STAY AT THE COTTON EXCHANGE !!! BE SURE TO READ ALL HOTEL REVIEWS BEFORE SELECTING A HOTEL, THE STAFF IS EXTREMLY NICE THE YOUNG LADY TYRA AT THE FRONT DESK WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND, HOWEVER THE BROUCHER IS VERY MIS-GUIDING IT IS A DIRT BAG HOTEL. THE LOCATION IS GREAT IF YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF BEING MUGGED. TRUE IT IS VERY CLOSE TO CANNAL STREET, BUT DEFINATELY NOT LOCATED IN THE BEST SECTION OF TOWN, THEY LIST FREE BREAKFAST IN THE ELEVATOR AS A OFFRED FEATURE HOWEVER THERE IS NO BREAKFAST . If OU ARE LOOKING FOR A CHEAP DIVE FOR DRINKS DOMINIC'S DOWNSTAIRS OFFERS CHEAP DRINKS AND AFRIENDLY BAR STAFF ....AS WELL AS AN ASSORTMENT OF TAKE OUT /DELIVERY MENUES
THE FIRST NIGHT I STAYED IN A GOD-AWFUL ROOM NO HEAT, NO HOT WATER A ND THE TOLIET OVERFLOWED THE WALL PAPER WAS PEELING OFF THE WALL THE CARPET WAS DISGUSTING AND THE ROOM SMELT, AS WELL AS THE LINNEN WAS NOT FRESH, IT WAS CLEAN YET DINGY IT HAD A YELLOWISH TINT THE SECOND ROOM WAS DOABLE IT WAS A PLACE TO SLEEP AND SHOWER THE BLOW DRYER DIDN'T WORK BUT AT LEAST IT WAS AN IMPROVEMENT OVER THE FIRST ROOM. WHEN I CALLED EXPEDIA THE HOTEL MANAGER WAS NOT WILLING TO MAKE ANY SORT OF ADJUSTMENT TO MY BILL I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND YOU DO YOUR HOME WORK BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE I DID COTTON EXCHANGE IS BAD NEWS RUN LIKE HELL.....ON A POSITIVE NOTE BROTHER'S ON THE CORNER IS A FULL-SERVICE CONVIENCE STORE AND THE STREETCAR CAFE LOCATED UP THE BLOCK ON YOUR WAY TO CANNAL STREET SERVES SOME OF THE BEST FOOD YOU WILL EAT WHILE STAYING IN NEW ORLEANS

Unique Quality: THE STREET CAR CAFE LOCATED UP THE BLOCK SERVES UP SOME OF THE BEST FOOD YOU WILL EAT

Directions: VERY BAD NEIGHBORHOOD VERY RUN-DOWN SECTION OF TOWN NOT SAFE TO TRAVEL THE STREET ALONE TO THE HOTEL AT NIGHT LOTS OF HOMELESS PEOPLE HANGING AROUND ON THE STREET
