Your hotel might be able to arrange that for you. Why don't you call them with your request and have them give you a price?

do these horse carriages have a specific route?
are they just tourist traps?
how much do they cost?
are some areas more romantic to take a carriage and if so which one?
Travel Tips for New Orleans

As we were walking around Bourbon Street, we came upon this place. I have passed by it many times, thinking "just another strip joint" BUT, there is a certain point when it's all about the drink specials and this place came through. It was like 4 for 1 night, 2 drink minimum. Hmmm...if I can get 1 drink for the price of one, 2 drinks for the price of one and even 4 drinks for the price of one, why would I just order 2? That part made no sense, but we went right in and enjoyed this deal. It's really a smart strategy, in theory. Offer these people lots of drinks and you'll profit from the money they drop on the dancers. I had them fooled--I didn't even sit at a table looking at these girls...I had 4 drinks and went on my way. This isn't my favorite memory, but it's pretty funny. I was in the bathroom and 2 strippers were in there. I said something about the bathroom being horrible and the girls said "Oh, don't worry, it gets easier...is this your first night here?" They thought I was dancing!! I laughed and said I was talking about the bathrooms and that I had been working there for awhile. This place sure wouldn't have made their profit by having ME dance!
I was flattered in a way because the sign says these ARE the prettiest girls in the south!
The place is called "Big Daddys" and it's right on Bourbon St.--they usually have their specials listed on a board outside.

have a babysitter, especially if you plan to partake in the Mardi Gras festivities. Dining in The French Quarter is obviously a must. It's all good! The endless parade of parades. This is the part the kids will enjoy, at least for a little while. Don't worry, folks. The naughty stuff happens at night. During the day, just a bunch of floats throwing beads and candy.

Walking around the French Quarter, seeing all the action, eating all the yummy food...Cafe Du Monde is a classic little sidewalk cafe that you must stop at, eat a beignet and watch the musicians that are always nearby. Walking around and stopping at all the classic places is great. Go to Margaritaville, too. Can't miss that! One of the coolest places that we went was the 'House Of Blues' This place has so much history, and truly captures 'Blues Style'

Take a walk through the French Quarter.....along the Mississippi in the morning and down Bourbon Street after dark. I love to ride bike and enjoyed renting a bike and riding through the streets during the day. Took my free Sunday afternoon and rode out Magazine Street away from the French Quarter and out towards the zoo. After the zoo you begin to parallel the river and a path is awailable to ride/walk. Went into this night club that feature karaoke and saw all the talent passing through. The girls loved the Elvis that dropped in and us guys were eyeing up the lady in leather who stepped up to the mic only to hear the sound of the voice and then we realized 'she' was no lady.....you know what I mean???? That must be why the DJ play that 'Funky Lady' song following her/his performance!

New Orleans has a very high concentration of street performers. Probably one of the highest concentrations in the US.
You'll find musicians of all kinds, magicians, mimes, animal acts, various artists, palm readers, tarot readers, and just about anything else you can imagine.
