A Suite for the Price of a Room?

After being bounced from the Ursuline Guest House (see my tip on that) and subsequently bounced from the place the deli owner recommended (that hotel had been taken over by FEMA), we went down the street to the French Quarter Suites. Before taxes, the charge was less than $100, so we couldn't believe our eyes when we opened the door. It looked like a full apartment belonging to somebody rather rich. A full living room, kitchen, bedroom, etc. Granted, there were no cups, plates or silverware, but there was a refrigerator with ice, so if we'd bought our own food, we could have made out like fiends. Didn't make a difference the next morning though, because they serve complimentary breakfast. Service at the front desk was very polite.

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
