Its walking distance
its cheap
very friendly
FYI
Get a room on the ground floor!
in the back behind the pool.
Unique Quality: get a great deal through orbitz.com
Directions: The edge of the French Quarter
I would stay there again because of its proximity to everthing... close enough to walk everywhere but far away enough to have peace and quiet. The staff was fabulous especially Rose. I felt safe enough walking at night with my friend. The pool needed alil skimming but it was mid march and cold so we wouldnt have swam anyways. The continental b-fast wasnt 1st class but you didnt go hungry. I do recommend you ask for ground level poolside rooms 106-114 are good. I enjoyed room 112.
Unique Quality: Location Location Location! Its also quiet and peaceful there.
This hotel has great character, with wooden floors and four poster beds. It's also very inexpensive being so close to the tourist area. But while it's TECHNICALLY in the French Quarter, the hotel also borders one of New Orleans' worst areas, Tremé.
A few blocks makes a big difference. Combine streetsmarts during the day with cab rides at night, and you'll probably be fine. However, I would not recommend French Quarter Courtyard for families.
Unique Quality: The hotel itself is quite nice and romantic, with a lovely courtyard. Services were basic and the staff was friendly. Just don't wander the area immediately surrounding, which is mostly deserted with a few seedy shops.
Directions: French Quarter / Tremé
The best place to stay is in the French Quarter. Although it may be a little expensive it's worth the price. I recommend the French Quarter Courtyard Hotel.
Expect to spend around $110. I think this is average among all the hotels in the area.
Unique Quality: The rooms are very elegant and classical. The bar is very nice and they have a pool area as well.
$69-$209
Unique Quality: The room was great, the room was spacious and pretty,
hardwood floors, four poster beds and original fireplaces.Disigned to recall the French Quarter's mix of architectural styles.

French Quarter courtyard
has anyone been on the le monde creole french quarter courtyard/cemetary tour? i have ready VERY good and VERY poor reviews, nothing in the middle. curious???
Well, the reviews are kind of an indication of a fairly interest specific tour. That is the main reason for no middle of the road reviews. It appears that you are aware that it is a good idea in general to discard the wonderful and terrible reviews, and pay more attention to the rest.
With no in the middle reviews, - if this tour and what in promises is of great interest to you, then likely you will enjoy it. If on the other hand if it is only of passing interest, or just something to do, chances are you may wish you had done something else.
I always add some music to my N'Orleans forum responses so indulge me......and if you don't like what the doctor say, - Jackomo finne an day......d:o)
