What a nightmare ending to my honeymoon! We cruised from New Orleans and bought the package cruise parking deal from The Hilton. When we returned, the gas tank was empty, cigarette burns in the seats, scratches on the exterior & 500 miles added to the odometer. The manager Mark Allos is clearly in the wrong line of work. Poor customer service does not begin to describe our experience. Please be warned, do not stay here!!!!!
The convention center is about two blocks from here, so I'm certain that that's most of their clientele. The lobby is well-appointed, and there is a nice breakfast (not free) room next to it. There is a rooftop pool on the 4th floor. The French Quarter is about a ten minute walk and, while we were here, there were certainly people there for the French Quarter.
The staff were generally nice and helpful. The room was clean, relatively large and featured a flat screen TV, wired internet, a mini-fridge and a microwave.
They have a nice-looking exterior courtyard, but it was closed off when we were there.
Parking is $25 per night, but we had no car. There is plenty of street parking around, which is open (i.e. - free) 6pm - 8am Monday - Saturday, and all day Sunday.
Only complaint would be the weird layout. The hallways sort of jog along, in and out, creating a maze-like route between your room and the elevator.
I got this on Hotwire for $59, so the rack rate is much more.
Unique Quality: Relatively quiet, well-located
