Great Historic Charm-Stayed Memorial Weekend 2012

I was a bit worried about this hotel after reading some of the reviews about it. This was my first time in New Orleans and I didn't want to be disappointed! I can honestly tell you that I wasn't! It was a very cozy place. If you like historic charm and very nice office staff, then this hotel is great! The pool was small--but that added to the charm for me. The location of the pool made it feel like it was actually a private, historic home. I truly had a great time! If you miss staying here, you'll truly miss a treat!!

Unique Quality: My friends and I stayed in the Venus room and we had a blast! I loved the charm of the brick walls and the convenience of the eat-in kitchen and the location of the hotel. The location was within walking distance to several shops and the trolley. The trolley was $1.25 (exact change please) each ride or $1.40 for a transfer from one trolley to another one. The room was fabulous and our house keeper, Debra did a fantastic job keeping it clean for us--it was so nice to come back to a clean, fresh smelling room! The office staff was excellent with their smiling faces and their kindness. This was my first trip to New Orleans and I will definitely be back!!
