perfect for the location

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 24, 2010

Prince Conti Hotel is set in a 19th century era brick structure (pic 1) having 76 rooms on three floors. We found an offer for $55 per night through their site which was perfect as it’s almost impossible to find a reasonably priced hotel at French Quarter.

Don’t forget that Conti street is off Bourbon street, so you can be near the crazy nightlife but also be at your bed in less than 2-5’ which was excellent for us. What’s more, although the hotel is near Bourbon street it was very quiet but some other room may have problem.

We made our reservation through their site when they had an offer (double room for $58) which was a great bargain for the location.

We Checked in quickly at the reception (pic 2) and took the elevator up to the hotel. The room was good for the category, clean and the bed big and comfortable. The decoration is a bit heavy, definitely outdated but who really cares. Some new carpets will make the rooms look much better though.
The A/C was ideal during our stay because the humidity levels are high in New Orleans.

The bathroom was clean which is important but very small with little space for your toiletries. We had 8 new towels every day (more than enough for a couple)

The staff was very helpful with us and they also called for a tour when we asked one.\
The last day they called for a taxi that took us to the airport (no extra cost)

good place & location

the hotel is 1/2 block off bourbon on conti st. so, it's close to everything in the quarter. i've stayed there twice and the staff has been friendly/helpful. the rooms are clean and prices are good.

Unique Quality: they offer parking (costs extra) and your car is right on site. never takes long for the valet to get your car. since i usually drive to new orleans, this is a bonus for me. i've had problems parking at other hotels in the french quarter.

Directions: upper french quarter, 3 blocks from canal st. google directions, but pay attention to the one way streets.

Prince Conti Hotel

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

I booked my room directly from the hotel website for December, 2004, and received a rate of $49 for Thursday night, and $79 for each of Friday and Saturday nights. The hotel is 3 stories tall, has an elevator, and there is a restaurant (Ms. D's Bistro) and a restaurant/bar (The Bombay Club) on the premises. Parking is $14/day. The people at the reception desk and the maids can be a bit indifferent, though the valet/luggage guys are VERY nice.

Unique Quality: My room was like a mini suite. It contained a king-size bed with a chair and TV in one area; the "sitting" area had a sofa, a desk & chair, and an armoire with another TV. The bathroom was a tad small, but was not a problem for me.

Directions: French Quarter; about 1/2 block from Bourbon Street.

Fun little hotel

by written on December 30, 2002

The hotel is a few feet of Bourbon Street, near the Conti Wax Museum. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The elevator (lift) is old fashioned with an inner gate.

Unique Quality: My buddy and I stayed here during the summer, when they have special rates, and had a blast. One of the staff was so helpful that it felt like we had a friend in town. He gave us the low down on the clubs and restaurants. I could defiantly see staying here again.

Directions: Heart of the French Quarter. Located 1/2 block from Bourbon Street.
