Largest Wall Painting in Louisiana
by vigi
This is the largest wall painting in Louisiana, with artist from New York. Well... it's not really very big though, we have bigger wall paintings here in Hong Kong. But I can say this painting is very detail and nice!
Sportsman Paradise
by jholley534
North Lousiana is also known as "Sportsman's Paradise". There is a variety of Lakes, Rivers, and Land which are frequently used for the usual hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. The lakes and such located close by include Black Bayou, Caddo Lake, Cross Lake, Cypress Lake, Lake Bistineau, Wallace Lake, Toledo Bend, and the Red River. If you appreciate swamps, snakes, alligators, and good fishing then I suppose you would really enjoy yourself here.
The BEST Seafood in town!!!
by dreamdeb about Gerald Savoie's
When the natives get restless, this is where they go to soothe the savage within. Seafood just like we like it in Louisiana! The menu is a feast of shrimp, crawfish, catfish, oysters, gumbo and a host of Louisiana favorites. Savoie's is locally run and you may or may not be greeted at the door by the owner himself. Hands-on is the way this operation is kept clean and running smoothly. Staff is friendly and helpful and the service good. Even the bathrooms are spotless here. I've been here a number of times and am always excited when I get to come back for more. Fried Shrimp with fries and hushpuppies. When you do it right, simple is best.

The Thrasher Cabin
by keeweechic
The Thrasher Cabin is a rural Caddo Parish 'dogtrot' log cabin and was built in 1835. There were some wonderful old pecan trees around these buildings which were missing a few pecans by the time we left.
