Nice waterfront accomodations. We'd return here a

We searched and searched for a spot but this one seemed to have what we were after. Our room was a very nice one on the second floor of the building closest to the water. Here's a picture from off our balcony. The rooms were very big with high ceilings, nice furniture, good beds and very clean. Carpet was fairly new. We had a balcony with room for two to sit and watch the harbor. We were about 50 feet from the shore. Quiet location. Easy parking. We didn't use much of the rest of the facility but the pool seemed to stay busy and the little we saw of the lobby looked very nice. There are many places to stay in Bar Harbor. I know the choices are difficult as there are many nice places to choose from but we would suggest that this is a place that won't disappoint if you're looking for clean space in a nice setting.

$100/night for best view room, off-season EXCELLENT view of Frenchman's Bay from the top floor of the main building . . . extensive grounds . . . own beach . . . nice pool . . . complimentary Continental and/or American breakfast . . . open all year (I'm pretty sure) and the off-season rates are certainly fair for a large room with mini-fridge, nice sitting area, sliding glass doors, and balcony facing the sunrise . . . did I mention the brook that cuts through the property -- and, at least in April, could lull you to sleep if you keep your patio door open just a touch.
