More about Greenleaf Inn at Boothbay Harbor

Truly a wonderful getaway!

by A TripAdvisor Member

My wife and I have gone alone as a couple, we have gone with another couple and also rented the inn with a whole group of friends. We are always glad to be there when we arrive and truthfully never want to leave. From the beautiful great room, the littlest detail in each beautifully decorated Victorian room and the unbelievable gourmet breakfasts each morning, this inn cannot be beat! Top it off with very personable and accommodating hosts and hostesses; it is truly a great vacation away from it all. Whether it's for one night, a weekend or even a week, a trip to the Greenleaf Inn at Boothbay Harbor, Maine is worth the trip!

Acolades only. Jeff is a most hepful, friendly innkeeper

Only was made to feel most comfortable and welcome. Jeff's recomendations were acurate and "top notch." We weren't sure what to expect when making our reservation and were only pleasantly surprised.

Hospitality can't be beat!

My husband and I have been enjoying the Greenleaf Inn for years. It's beautiful, cozy and exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is casual, warm and inviting. Jeff and Metro, the inn dog, are the perfect hosts! Jeff's breakfasts, which you can eat in the cozy breakfast nook or out on the porch looking out at the ocean, are delicious. Jeff is always ready to help with ideas/reservations on activities and restaurants in the area. Everything you need is within walking distance. But, if you feel like taking a drive, a ride up the Maine coast will take you to Rockland, home of the Farnsworth Museum and the best collection of Andrew Wyeth paintings. I highly recommend visiting the Greenleaf Inn!

and each visit is as wonderful as the last. The rooms are always fresh and sunny. You look forward to breakfast each morning because you never know what delicasy Jeff will be cooking up in the kitchen. My husband loves fishing and you can't find a better place for that. We both also love golf and the golf course in Boothbay is great! We fully reccommend the Greenleaf Inn who loves staying at a beautiful country Inn. And its right next to the ocean!!

Perfect B&B Experience

by A TripAdvisor Member

Jeff (and Metro, the house dog) are welcoming, informed, and have thought of everything. An August trip for my husband's birthday left him saying "this was by far the best b&b I've ever stayed in." No detail is overlooked, but you have plenty of privacy, and the location is perfect for sailing trips, walking, dining and watching the sunset over the harbor.

Our 1st and Best B&B Experience in the US!

Stayed at the Greenleaf Inn for fall colors in October. Jeff and Metro couldn't have been more helpful and charming (OK, Metro (the dog) didn't help much, but he was charming).
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Boothbay Harbor is beautiful. We happened to be at the Inn when a group of "regulars" were visiting - they come every year on the same weekend. Everybody knew everybody else, and soon we felt as if we were part of the group. A very pleasant experience.
Breakfasts prepared by Jeff and by his "guest chef" were gourmet delights.
We liked it so well that we're returning in February for our anniversary! No kidding - February in Maine!

Our Inn Of Choice

by A TripAdvisor Member

What attracted us to Greenleaf was Jeff's welcoming attitude when we called to inquire about the Inn. And, after four visits in one year, that is the main draw for us. The Inn itself is warm and inviting, each room unique, and, we have stayed in five! The breakfasts are hearty and appetizing, served in a pleasant dining room overlooking the harbor. And, the ambience in the common rooms is conducive to chatting with strangers who quickly become friends. Greenleaf is definitely our inn of choice on Maine's mid-coast. It has what we think a B&B should offer, a friendly, relaxed atmosphere combined with impeccable service.

We keep coming back!

by A TripAdvisor Member

After our first visit to the Greenleaf Inn, my husband knew it would be the perfect special place that he and I would visit time and again. So, he decided to propose marriage to me in "our" room - Room #2, and we've been coming back every year since then. Besides being in the perfect spot to walk to shops and restaurants, the view is fantastic, and Jeff and Metro are the most gracious hosts. Jeff's breakfasts are to die for, and he always has great suggestions for road trips to the nearby areas of the region. When you come to Boothbay Harbor, this is THE place to stay!

Had never been to Boothbay Harbor so off we went. Stayed at this Inn on the recommendation of a friend and he was right on target!

Metro is a great greeter! We had a great time with our entire stay and we would highly recommend The Greenleaf Inn as a place to stay. The room was great with a wonderful porch to sit on and watch the town events. The food was exceptional at the Inn.

You will not go wrong!!
