Lake Brook Bed and Breakfast: Bed and Breakfast
I checked into the B&B in the afternoon and the hostess, Carolyn, was friendly and helpful, providing me with a tour of the facilities, a map of the area, and instructions on sites to see, places to visit, and restaurants to eat in. The facilities, while a little worn, were clean, neat and comfortable. The amenitites were minimal. The service was wonderful. I did feel rushed out the door with the 10 am checkout time, and while I was running a little late did feel pressure to "get out", not relax and enjoy my stay. I would say yes, stay at Lake Brook, but if its off season and you can find somewhere else to stay, I'd give that a shot too.
The breakfast the hostess made the morning I checked out was wonderful. I had the advantage of hanging out with Carolyn and her nephew and his girlfriend, so it was a very chatty and family atmosphere, which I very much enjoyed.

Rhumb Line Motor Inn: Rhumb Line Motor Inn
Spent $90 during an off season weekday. Most places in Kennebunkport go well over $150 a night.
Located about 3 miles from Kennebunkport. It was kind of out of the way. But it has the best price in town. There is no restaurant here. Although they do advertise Lobster Bakes in the summer. It had a nice Indoor Pool with jacuzzi. There is a nice weight room here too.
