We just returned from an annual East Coast trip and drove through Sugarloaf in Maine. We would like to stop here next year and want any info or opinions about accommodations there. I have been searching the internet and have found names of hotels but almost no information about what they are like. We would prefer on site casual dining and perhaps a pub.
Any info about the following hotels (or others of which I am unaware) would be appreciated.
Sugarloaf Inn Resort
Clarion Carriage House Inn On Winter's Hill
Sugarloaf Grand Summit Resort Hotel
We have a ski house at Sugarloaf and used to have a time share at the Grand Summit Hotel. That is the only "on sight" hotel with the accomodations you described. What month of the year are you planning on visiting? Spring is not the best time to visit. Lodging info can be found on the Sugarloaf USA website.
Thank you for the response! It's been so long I nearly forgot I posted this question! We will be travelling in July or August - well out of ski season. We usually travel through a different part of Maine - more coastal but find the prices ridiculous even for the seediest little motels! When we discovered this route was a more direct route to our destination, we thought this was the perfect place to stop.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer!
