Packing for A Weekend Away
by cjg1
A Small Rollaboard or overnight bag will do for a weekend away. It tends to be much cooler in Maine than back home in New York so we always pack accordingly with heavier clothing and layers as well and lighter summer clothing during that season. Contact lens, contact solution, deodorant, toothbrush, tooth paste, shampoo, body wash, lotion, hair gel, brush, cologne and aspirin. "Beach Pea Bakery"
This is my favourite spot to spend some time reading with a cup of tea and croissant. They have wonderful fresh baked bread (take home a fougasse- it's delicious) and other bakery items and a few tables to sit as long as you want.
"Terracotta"
A great place to pick up several types of fresh pasta and several sauces.
"Golden Harvest"
A nice little grocery store with fresh produce, cheese, wine, and some packaged goods too.
