Hello,
On 11/18/07 I will be coming to Ogonquit me. Part of the week I will be in Me I would like to go to Acadia National Park for a visit. How is the weather at that time of the year?. Also how far is it from Ogonquit Me? I see there are lots of hikes. Are they all challenging or are some low key? Thanks

You'll have to see how it shines. That time of year can be cool, cold at night, windy, cloudy. But it can also be very cold and even snowy at that time of year, so..............goood luck!
Acadia is a long drive ( try mapquest). There will be few if any people up there in late November. Why not just go to Portland Maine for a day or two??
My ultimate favorite restaurant is without a doubt Lobster Pound.
Everything is so fresh and tasty. I would go back to Ogunquit just for that one meal!! I am a huge lobster lover and this is the best place I have ever been to to eat some (hard shell!). Their clam chowder is also unbelievable. The lobster is kind of pricy but it truely is the best you'll ever have.
My one brief visit to Maine was a one day performance trip with the 8th AF Band to Ogunquit. That was in late summer, 1964. I don't remember marching in a parade, I think it might have been for a concert on or near the beach.
Judging from the pictures I have recently found, and placed into travelogues, we must have been given some time to walk around and enjoy this ocean front village. Don't judge the quality of the photos too harshly; they are scanned from slides taken more than forty years ago on a Kodak Instamatic. I believe that a couple of them may have been taken during the bus ride to Ogunquit rather than in the village itself.
This day made quite an impression on this young fellow from Kansas wheat country, and he promised himself he would return to see more of Maine's incredible scenery, a pledge not yet kept.
