Ocean Walk Hotel

I booked this hotel based on the good and excellent reviews on this place and was shocked at the condition of the property and state of the room. Within 30 minutes of arriving, we cancelled our reservations and left. The stairs leading to the room were unsafe, we had a shared deck on which an elderly gentleman stood smoking when we arrived, the locks on the room doors were old and not secure, the furniture looked to be approx 20 (or more) years old, and the room smelled of urine. Most of the rooms were empty (there were only about 10 cars in the parking lot) and now i understand why. The pictures of the rooms and property on the hotel's web page look to have been touched up because the hotel i saw only vaguely looked like the pictures. Unless you are an elderly smoking gent who likes the smell of danger and urine, this place won't be for you.
