An artistically-endowed elephant!
I love this place. It is so typicaly New England. A variety store run by an old couple where you can play lottery, buy milk, or sit down and have a nice cheap breakfast. Mr Hogan is entertaining and he loved when my Sister ordered cake for breakfast.
The guy in the picture is Me!! It was a very refreshing swim!! It was my first swim in the Atlantic Ocean for over 20 years. That seemed strange to me as when I was a kid I went swimming in the Atlantic so many times in the summer.
Old Orchard beach in Maine is where I vacation just about every summer. I usually stay for a week. It's a very nice area and the beach goes on for 7 miles. It's great for walking at low tide.
I stay in a quiet part of Old Orchard called Ocean Park. It's all cottages and has the look and feel of a small New England town. I meet some of the same people every year when I go there.
The water temperature is usually cool but it's very refreshing on a hot day.
