Poland Mining Camps: a rockhounds dream

This camp is available by reservation only, but appears to be well worth planning for. Fee includes lodging, all meals mine fees and guided access to active quarries closed to the public. We were wandering through poland and stopped to see what this camp was about. We were greeted by Mary Groves camp owner and given a brief tour of the main facility. The dining hall was a banguet for the eyes of locally collected mineral specimens. They were closed for the season but begin operations again in June

The buklidings are all located in tall pines and have a very rustic appearance. The opportunity to visit mines closed to the public and collect the ultimate souveneir is very appealing
