Embassy Suites Hotel Portland
worst stay ever !!!!
Worst experience ever !!! We booked Hilton Honors reward reservation- a non-smoking room with double queen beds. When we arrived our room was given away. The only room that the hotel could give us was a single king bed room ON THE SMOKING FLOOR !We traveled with 2 small children. The front desk agent assured us that we would not smell any smoke. We did- I was woken up in the morning by the cigarette smoke coming from the neighbor's room. For the first time in my life, I woke up with a severe headache, and my son also got a headache that morning. The hotel manager was not available, and the front desk agents seemed very unproffesional, and not helpful at all.
Great but NOT cheap
Stayed here in July of 2005 with my 6 year old and my brother and his wife. Nice rooms, quiet place. Just $259 a night!!! Yeow. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Over all a good choice except the price seemed a bit high
Unique Quality: Unique view of airport our our window. Great lobby. Accommodating staff.
Luxury for a Bargain!!!!
I stayed in the Embassy Suites in Portland in Nov. 2004. I cannot express enough what a positive experience it was. It was less expensive than some other hotels in the area, and far better.
They will set you up according to your needs for business and pleasure.
For business, we needed to do interviews for a college admissions search, and they put us near the elevator with an outside lounge where the parents could wait for the students being interviewed, ....also, my daughter did the interviews in the lounge part of the suite, while I stayed in the bedroom part, doing my own business on the internet.
A wonderful breafast is served in their comfortable restaurant, and they have a happy hour and drinks when you arrive in the early evening.
Also, the Suites are near the airport and shopping mall.
Unique Quality: The staff is extra professional and helpful.
The double rooms are so comfortable and convenient.
One person can sleep in one room with a tv, while another can be in the lounge watching tv or another channel.
Directions: Near the airport and mall.
Embassy Suites Hotel
A very nice hotel, my favorite in Portland. For only $100 a night, you get a suite with a kitchenette, a living room ,a bedroom and bath room. The exercise room has out of date equipment, but it's usually not crowded so you can use whatever you want. There is also a pool, hottub and two saunas, one for either gender.
Unique Quality: Well first off, it's ultra close to the airport, within walking distance. You get free breakfast, American, not continental. Also, there's a free happy hour from 5:30-7:00pm every night and the bartenders sometimes let those times slide a bit. It's likely just to get you drunk so you'll eat in their restaurant, but the food is good so who cares.
Directions: Make a left at the first intersection from the airport
