A very nice hotel, my favorite in Portland. For only $100 a night, you get a suite with a kitchenette, a living room ,a bedroom and bath room. The exercise room has out of date equipment, but it's usually not crowded so you can use whatever you want. There is also a pool, hottub and two saunas, one for either gender.
Well first off, it's ultra close to the airport, within walking distance. You get free breakfast, American, not continental. Also, there's a free happy hour from 5:30-7:00pm every night and the bartenders sometimes let those times slide a bit. It's likely just to get you drunk so you'll eat in their restaurant, but the food is good so who cares. I stayed in the Embassy Suites in Portland in Nov. 2004. I cannot express enough what a positive experience it was. It was less expensive than some other hotels in the area, and far better.
They will set you up according to your needs for business and pleasure.
For business, we needed to do interviews for a college admissions search, and they put us near the elevator with an outside lounge where the parents could wait for the students being interviewed, ....also, my daughter did the interviews in the lounge part of the suite, while I stayed in the bedroom part, doing my own business on the internet.
A wonderful breafast is served in their comfortable restaurant, and they have a happy hour and drinks when you arrive in the early evening.
Also, the Suites are near the airport and shopping mall.
The staff is extra professional and helpful.
The double rooms are so comfortable and convenient.
One person can sleep in one room with a tv, while another can be in the lounge watching tv or another channel.
