Has anyone eaten at Pusser's? What do you think of it?
Friends took me to Pusser's a couple of years ago, and (aside from the unappealing name!) it was lovely. The food was good and the umbrella drinks were fun. I can't remember exactly what I had, but it was some kind of fish, skillfully prepared and beautifully presented. We sat on the deck and watched a mama duck and a line of ducklings swim past. My friends live about 30 minutes from Annapolis and go to Pusser's a lot.
Annapolis was a really nice little place, with tree shaded streets and quaint little shops. I just had to take a photo when I saw the sign "Snow emergency route". It is hard to imagine any snow when you are standing in about a 109 degree heat. Please excuse the shorts.
Dome of the Maryland State House digitally superimposed over the town square. This building is the oldest State House still in continuous existence in the United States. Easily seen from anywhere in Annapolis, it provides excellent navigation reference while touring the town.
Lacrosse is the "official team sport of Maryland"! So, if you haven't seen a game, catch one while you're there. If you're visiting the Naval Academy in the spring, check their team schedule. Other colleges in MD where you can catch a game are: UM College Park, UMBC, John's Hopkins... just try these with a internet search engine.

I'm putting this in here because I have a picture of it. I have never eaten here and have avoided eating here and will probably continue to avoid eating here. I think it is too expensive, and since I don't drink alcohol, I doubt if it would be a good place for me to go. I'm probably in the minority in that though.
Most of the Pussers are in the Caribbean, but they also have one in Germany and a couple of them in the US too. Their publicity says:
"This unique Annapolis Maryland restaurant offers English-style pub fare at an exclusive dockside location''
The original concept of the restaurant was to serve the same rum formula that was doled out by the pursers on the British Navy ships (pussers is a corruption of the word purser).
We had Sunday Brunch at Buddy's on Main Street in Annapolis. They had a decent variety, but certainly not one of the best Sunday Brunches in recent memory.
The best part of our visit was the view of the Inner Harbor from their second floor windows.
