Travel Tips for Annapolis
Visitor Center
by RhondaRuth
The Annapolis Visitor Information Center is located at 26 West Street with a seasonal information booth located next to the Theodore W. Johnson Harbormaster's Building at City Dock. Printed lists of accommodations, restaurants, guided tours, marine cruises, charters and rentals, and shopping are available.
I didn't get a picture of the Information Center, but you can't miss it ... it's right at the City Dock.
Enjoy a cup of coffee early in...
by ThereAndBack
Enjoy a cup of coffee early in the morning watching the sunrise over the harbor... even if sunrise is too early for your liking, sleep in and go for a later cup. :-) Watching fireworks over the harbor.
Exercise in Annpolis
by Ewingjr98
Annapolis is a community with a huge number of outdoor enthusiasts. From boating and fishing to running and biking, people here love to be outside when the weather permits. Just be careful of the heavy weekend traffic as well as the drawbridges...
Excellent Seafood Buffet with a fantastic view
by FreeCloud about Buddy's Crabs & Ribs
Get a window table with a fantastic view of the harbor while enjoying excellent seafood buffet.
A crab lover's heaven especially with the view!
The restaurant is family owned. Steamed Chesapeak Bay Blue CRABS of course! Everyone will be 'equipped' with a plastic nib and a wooden hammer just for dealing with the crabs!
Others, raw oysters and clambs (and cooked), many type of fish, steamed, fried, or baked.
Bakery and Catering
by grandmaR about Decadence at The Main Ingredient
The Main Ingredient is a bakery and catering establishment which adjoined what was called Gary's Grille.
Their website says:
"..we have catered everything from Naval Academy weddings for 500 to family get togethers for 20. .. We are proud to announce the opening of Decadance, our private party facility which is available for intimate dinners, meetings, bridal showers and more. " "We are especially proud of our complete in-house bakery which provides our clients with the freshest custom made wedding cakes, pastries, breads and festive desserts anywhere."
I've eaten at Gary's Grille and several times at the Main Ingredient Cafe, but have not used the catering service.
