Founded in 1730 by shipbuilder William Fell, this historic maritime community still maintains its old world charm with 18th and 19th century homes, taverns and shops. The oldest is the Robert Long House, circa 1765, on Ann Street near the Visitors Center. An abundance of antique shops, great restaurants, shopping and night life, can be found in FELL'S POINT.By the late 1800's, Fell's Point had become a major arrival point for thousands of immigrants from Ireland, Germany, Italy and Eastern Europe. Immigrants settled in ethnic neighbourhoods, most of which are still in placd today.
