The Pell Garden
The C&D Canal runs 14 miles in lenght, 450 feet wide and 35 feet deep. Along the canal are access roads, this is a view from the north side looking toward the C&D Bridge. These access roads are paved and gravel so I would suggest a truck and take it slow, it's a sharp drop off and no real guard rail.
There are antique shops all over Chesapeake City, so walk around and explore. Here is CANAL LOCK ANTIQUES AT THE SHOP. This is a great place to just walk around and check out all the stores. 105 Bohemia Avenue

This cute little ice cream shop is located on the water at the marina. Open May - October daily 11 am -9 pm weekdays, weekends 10 pm. They have a full service ice cream parlor, all homemade ice cream, specialty sundaes. smoothies, fresh squeezed lemonade, a lite lunch menu with sandwhiches, salads and homemade crab cakes from MD crabs. The ice cream here is great, so grab some and take awalk around the town & marina!
This is a local gathering place with a friendly atmosphere. Good food and good drinks, crabs served year round and Italian is the specialty. Bring money because NO CREDIT CARDS accepted. So meet some friends and have a good time here at The Tap Room.
During the Summer months there are free live music concerts at the old fashioned bandstand, Summer Music in the Park at Pell Gardens . Bring your blanket and lawn chairs and relax and watch the boats go in and out of the marina. Grab an ice cream while your there, only a few feet away! All summer music performances are from 6 - 8 p.m. and FREE!
