Also, you can shop in the boutique stores and galleries as well as eat at the many restaurants in town. There are also wineries and farms outside of town that you can visit. Walking around town, doing some shopping and visiting the Democratic office.

Monocacy Battlefield - Worthington Farm

by Ewingjr98

The Worthington Farm, originally called Clifton Farm, was constructed in 1851. John T. Worthington bought the property along the Monocacy River in 1862. During the battle, the Worthington Farm was the site of the Confederate crossing of the Monocacy. From here the southern army initiated attacks on the Union forces in place at the nearby Thomas Farm.

In 1928, Glenn Worthington, heir to the Worthington Farm, petitioned Congress to create a Military Park at Monocacy. The bill passed in 1934, but Congress waited another 50 years to approve funds for land acquisition.

Today a pair of loops called the Worthington Farm Trail allows the visitor to walk the northern parts of the battlefield.

Frederick,MD is my home now......

"Frederick is a wonderful place to live"

Been here about a year now... Frederick has it's problems... but I love the location, the countryside, our home, the friendly people and I am learning to slow down a little bit . I have to remember what I say because this is the smallest town I've ever lived in and people dooo know each other.
This town is about 45 minutes from Baltimore, Maryland and 45 minutes to Washington DC... great location. Pictures to come..
