by KLomaskin

Annapolis is a very historic town. Many of the buildings were built in the 1700's.

Try the Gov. Calvert House on State Circle. It is a modern hotel built on the back of a historic inn.

Another interesting historic inn is the Maryland Inn on Church Circle. There are many others (Historic Inns of Annapolis) plus many bed and breakfasts in the downtown area. There is also a Mariott Hotel on the water at the city dock, and many other chain hotels out near the Mall.

$60-90/nite

I love this hotel and stay there whenever I go back to visit (if I don't stay with friends of course). The rooms come standard with a living room, full-size kitchen (with minimal dishes and utensils), a washer and dryer and seperate bedroom and a balcony. It literally is comparable to having a one bedroom apartment--you can get rooms with a second bedroom as well. It is great for stays that last a few days--the laundry thing really comes in handy! And they have the best breakfast buffet....

by Blondie2

Remember that the farther away from the cities you get, the cheaper the cost of overnight accomodations. If you're staying in Maryland and plan to sight see in DC be aware of where your closest metro stop is. I recommend choose accomodations in Montgomery County--that means Rockville, Gaithersburg (for cheaper rates) or Bethesda, Chevy Chase (for pricier rates). In Maryland if you're looking for bed and breakfasts, really you are limited to the eastern shore area/St Michaels, etc.

Sorry that I can't really tell you. I live here so of course, I live in my house. I don't really know but you probably should live in an inn or a hotel.
