weather

by TJS3

I am planning on visiting OC, MD. the first week of September 2007. Does anyone know what the weather is usually like? Air and water temp, if possible.
Thanks

you could also go to www.wunderground.com, and look at the historic data for the dates you plan to travel to get a sense of averages.

but, in general, both the air and water temp are great during that time....but who knows what it'll be like when you go.

The air temp in September in the late summer is usually quite warm, about 70-80 degrees F (if not warmer). The water temp by Labor Day is warm as well since the water from the Gulf has reached the east coast. Hopefully the crowds will have thinned out by then for you! Have fun!

The 1st week in Sept. is traditionally my favorite week at the beaches here on the Eastern Shore. The temp of the air and water is usually terrific and as mentioned above there are far fewer people.
Enjoy

Min temp 55 max 81

Re: weather

Excuse me that was only the past 3 years , previous 3 had highs of 87 to 90 degrees

Hey! Thanks for the replies! I was just looking for general idea of what the temps usually are for that time. I always check the weather just before I leave for OC. Thanks again for the info!

Travel Tips for Ocean City

Get some seafood!

by tpangelinan

I don't care how you do it, but get some seafood while in town! We have eaten all over the eat coast, and Ocean City MD, is home of some of the best seafood you can get on the east coast! Work up an appetite on the beach, go fly a kite! Look how big this lobster kite is! Why do I have an affection for giant lobster in any form????
Kite is a display by Kite Loft.
Go check out the store, it is fun and more that kites, they carry great toys for (boo hoo) rainy days with the kiddies!!

Huge Summer Vacation Spot!

by Ewingjr98

"Ocean City, MD"

I made my first trip to Ocean City, MD, in September 2004. I was stunned by the size of this vacation spot ... it sits on an island and runs about 10 miles from north to south -- every inch of it full of hotels, condos, restaurants and shops. The boardwalk itself is over three miles long!

Ocean City is a very family-oriented beach town, and offers many family activities such as miniature golf, boat rentals, and of course beach activities! Ocean City also is host to 17 golf courses and many great bars and clubs for the non-family vacationer.
