The motel has dramatically changed since my first childhood visit. Instead on one building, there are now three and instead of a three storey "skyscraper", the tallest is about 15 stories tall!
The motel is one block off of the beach, with condos and an apartment building sharing a parking lot in front of it.
George and I stayed in the three storey old motel (instead of the high rises) simply because I was feeling nostalgic about the place. We had cable and internet access, and a balcony (2nd floor) overlooking the beach. The room was modernized back in the 90's and was comfortable and clean.
The motel is close to the beach (about 100 feet away) so it was wonderful to wander the beach at sunrise and sunset and not see too many people out, and still know it would only take a minute or two to get back to the room.
Been around since the 1960's and has a retro feel.
