From Sand to a City
by Lilasel
Over the last several decades, Ocean City, Maryland has grown from a small seaside fishing village to become one of the most popular beach vacation destinations in the United States. Ocean City's population is around 10,000 people, but summertime it's over a third of a million with the visitors. Thanks to this fact Ocean City is the second largest city in Maryland. In 2001 Ocean City has got a title "All American City”.
Miles of clean white-sand beach on the Atlantic Ocean, three-mile long (4,8 km) boardwalk, hundreds of places to stay (hotels, motels, condos and campgrounds), restaurants, nightlife, shopping, boating, golf, fishing, festivals, conventions, surfing, windsurfing, parasailing, museums, amusement parks and other unique activities.
Hudak's on the Boards

Hudak's is a locally owned restaurant on the Ocean City boardwalk. They have just about everything including breakfast, pizza, gyros, hamburgers, fries, you name it. They also offer beer, soft drinks, and bottled water.
Our only problem was the cost... $18.00 for two small sandwiches and two 1-Liter bottles of water! I guess we paid for the convenience of eating on the boardwalk.

"Ocean City, MD"
Ocean City has been a nice family vacation spot for many years. Unfortunately, in recent years many of the old buildings and restaurants have been torn down to make way for large condo complexes and hotels. I recommend visiting before all the charm is gone.
My Old Home

I used to live in Key West Villas on 28th St. in Ocean City, MD. It was fun in the summer. I like the ease of transportation and the boardwalk and the waves. The town is set up nicely too. Now I live in Key West. Ironic huh? ^_^
