Need a Place to Stay!

by Garita

We are a family of 5 looking for a reasonable place to stay, Doesn't have to be fancy or near Boarwalk. Most of the hotels on boardwalk of low rates are booked for 8-15 and on. Know of any place near? Is it a good Idea to look when we arrive? First time at Ocean City.

this place has seen better days, but we used to stay at the Sands Motel, in Fenwick Island, DE, just a stone's throw north of OC. the big benefit is that they allow dogs...but I don't know if that helps you. you may want to check them out.

Travel Tips for Ocean City

There are nets all over this beach!

by tpangelinan

You can always catch a game of volley ball on this beach. There are surfers, and life guards, tons of summer teen workers, add real Championship games every year and you have lots of volley ball happening here. Nets are everywhere!

Assateague Island

by Lilasel

Assateague Island is located just 15 minutes from the Ocean City. Island offers its visitors uncrowded beaches, bicycle paths, hiking trails, over sand vehicle routes, and canoe excursions. And, of course, the main sight is an up-close look at its famed ponies (over 150 wild ponies)! The island is surrounded by ocean and bay. So there are opportunities for fishing and crabbing.

fun in the sun....

"Welcome to Ocean City, Maryland"

..."America's Finest Family Resort" is unofficial OC name. But not only family resort. It's great to come here with your beloved or some good friends. Miles of sand and surf, wooden boardwalk, finest local restaurants with seafood and famous crabcakes, the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the East Coast, many different activities and,of course, Assateague Island famous with wild ponies.

I have a lot of OC info and many pictures to share with you because I've spent 3,5 months living and working there.
OK, let's start! :-)
