Great spot for a Wedding reception
by garridogal about Spire Restaurant at Hotel Nine Zero
My friends had their wedding reception at this restaurant. So, although I didn't have the opportunity to order off a menu, I can attest that the food's simply delicious. It's also beautifully decorated in a Modern style which carries over to the ultra modern looking bar. I had only one of the twin filets I was served and it was so good that while I turned away to have a conversation with the person next to me, I had the feeling I was being watched. It ws then that I turned around and realized that just about every guy at my table was eyeing the extra one, drooling.
I let 'em suffer a bit and pretended that I didn't notice then finally said "Would someone like to..." Didn't get a chance to finish that sentence and had to move my arms to my side quickly to avoid being stabbed by the barrage of forks coming my way!
Oh...and the Green Apple Martinis are dangerously delicious. They're not made out of Apple pucker and they're garnished with mini green apples which must be soaked in pure vodka. They can make you fuzzy and forgetful....!
A new standard in hotel elegance!

Recently my husband and I had to visit Boston, MA on business and we searched the web to find an upscale hotel in the heart of Boston that was contemporary, immaculate and moderately priced. What we found in Nine Zero Hotel was even better. From their attentive staff, to their exquisite modern decor, to the details and amenities in our room (The Fantastic Room), we were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with our stay. Kudos on the fabulous choice of bed linen and unique headboard design. What a comfortable sleep! We can't wait to visit Boston again.
Nine Zero Hotel made our business trip seem like a vacation.
Boutique Hotels are the best!

Wow, what a find. If you're used to staying at the typical Boston hotels like Marriott, Sheraton, Copley Plaza etc, recommend Nine Zero for a totally new experience. I found it on www.boutiquehotelsandresorts.com/intro.html Nine Zero, thanks for making the trip to Boston so good I hope to get an assignment to come back asap and Boutique Hotels & Resorts Int'l should certainly get praise for bringing boutique hotels to light!! Best, Kerry
Great location, Great value, Great service

Nine Zero has the basic look and feel of an Ian Shrager hotel (Royalton, Paramount, Mercer -- cool ambiance, fashionable, minimalist), but MUCH bigger rooms and MUCH less expensive. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, and the food is definitely better than most hotel cuisine at similar price levels. It's located right downtown -- meaning a very short walk to Downtown Crossing, the Financial District (Post Office Square), Fanueil Hall, and Boston Commons. It's also about a 7 minute cab ride to Copley/Prudential and Newbury Street shopping. They also have a great in-house car service that is the same price as a cab, but the difference being that it is a brand new minivan with an 18" LCD playing DVDs to watch while you're being whisked around Boston by a very friendly driver employed by Nine Zero. Really enjoyed our stay, and definitely recommend it.
Great boutique hotel

My friend and I spent 5 nights at the Nine Zero in March and were very impressed by the service and general ambience. We prefer staying in boutique type hotels and were not disappointed. The room was spacious for a city hotel room, with lots of gadgets and great wine glasses! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom big enough for two girls and their lotions and potions.
Very good location and french toast! Will definitely stay here next time I am in Boston.
A true pleasure

I stayed at the Nine Zero for a recent weekend in Boston, and am pleased to report that it is one of the few hotels I've EVER stayed at which I felt was worth its cost. The room (smallest version, "Intimate") was not huge, but was fantastically comfortable, very stylish, and impeccably cleaned and prepared (with the trivial exception of a missing bulb in the desk lamp-- which was immediately remedied by the staff, along with an extra bathrobe I requested.) My room on the 14th floor was not supposed to have any view at all, but actually looked out directly at the Old North Church. I had brought a bottle of wine from home, with a corkscrew-- but was pleased to find a corkscrew and wine glasses already in the room. Check in and check out were civilized and efficient. Staff in the hallways were cheerful and polite. The location is unbeatable. I grew up in Boston, and have rarely stayed in hotels in my home city-- but the experience at Nine Zero was so delightful I expect to make a habit of it.
relaxation...

Our entire experience at the Nino Zero was relaxing and wonderful. Our room was on the 19th floor in the back corner. This allowed us for a great amount of privacy (I didn't hear another person the entire time) and the views of Boston especially at night were fabulous. The Nine Zero is located in the heart of downtown, between walking and a subway pass for the T we didn't need to spend any additional money on taxis.
Each day we had breakfast in our rooms, the food was great and the service right on time. The staff was helpful when requested. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. This is the only place we'll ever stay in Boston.
fabulous hotel for business travel
by A TripAdvisor Member
I stayed at Nine Zero while in town for business. My only regret was that I could only stay one night! Everything was wonderful, from the bell person who not only dug my luggage out of the taxi, but set up my (complimentary!) high-speed internet access before leaving my room, to the comfortable bed, to the great shower. The rooms are not the standard cookie-cutter decor, and I appreciated the change. Also, I have to mention the room service. I'm usually wary about room service, but tried it here, and was pleasantly surprised. I had a delicious meal - home made pasta with wild mushrooms, fresh asparagus, and perfectly grilled chicken - at a reasonable price. I really can't imagine staying anywhere else when in Boston for business.

Has anyone stayed at the Nine Zero hotel in Boston before? Any good? or would you suggest somewhere else?

Nine Zero is a fairly new boutique hotel centrally located in downtown Boston. Colleagues from out of town prefer to stay there instead of the generic business hotels (e.g., Hilton) when they come into town. They all rave about the place and apparently it has been offering some real deals over the last 6 months that make it much cheaper than your typical chi-chi boutique place. I've never stayed there but do recommend it to friends looking for a nice hotel and who can afford to spend the money for a nice one.
