Room 318 is a black hole!

Avoid room 318. We stayed in this room for 5 nights from 27 September. The room was OK if a trifle dowdy but the window is obscured by an enormous dome above the conference suite. This meant that daylight did not penetrate at all and you need all the room's inadequate lights on at any hour of the day and had to leave the hotel to find out what the weather was like. Staff were not helpful and as both entrances have stairs up to reception we had to struggle with our considerable luggage. Good location but not good value for the money we paid.
Beautiful place

I stayed here about a year ago with my boyfriend and some other friends on a weekend trip. We are young...early 20's and loved this place! The Lenox is gorgeous! The decor is that of a 1920'2 mobster film. (Do not stay here if you want something chic and modern). I usually like modern places, but this was different - really extravagant and just so unique. The service was great and the free breakfast was awesome (it came with our package)! It was not your typical free buffet, stale toast type of breakfast....it was sit down, all you can eat, fluffy eggs, crepes, crispy bacon, yummmmm fine dining type of breakfast. This hotel is near many great restaurants, bars, and awesome shopping. You can sign up for a trolley tour at the hotel, but if you do it definitely start early. We loved it and hope you enjoy it too! (PS - Many famous people are known to stay at this hotel.)
It doesn't pay to reserve early...

I booked a room in August and requested a corner room for October. When we got to the hotel, they had no record of my request and gave us a "very quiet room". If you want to call a room that is right by the elevator where you can hear the sounds from it all night long on one side and the hum of the HVAC on the other and pay 245 a night, then this is "quiet". On top of that, the Aveda "All Sensitive" hand lotion caused a terrible rash that has lasted 3 weeks.
Not worth it

Stayed at the Lenox for a weekend trip to Boston. Great location but that's about it. Rooms are very, very small (not what you see on the website at all). Had to switch rooms, first one was by elevator and was up all night listening to people coming and going. Old hotel so you can hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors to everyone in the hallways. In both rooms "high speed internet access" is a joke. My old dialup service was faster. Don't plan on getting any work done if you need to get online.
Lovely hotel

We stayed at the Lenox for a 3 night break on 5/11 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. From the minute we arrived until leaving, we found the staff helpful and friendly. Although the room wasn't that big (room 1018) it had everything we needed and was clean and towels and soaps replenished on a daily basis. The hotel is in a good location for all the sightseeing that a couple of brits could cram in in 3 1/2 days.
For the price we paid we would highly recommend staying at the Lenox and would not hesitate in visiting again in the future.
