TIMECOP My first Marathon. I took the T in and missed my stop. I was a few minutes late and had to stand for the first movie, Back to the Future. I went searching for my friends and discovered to my horror that they had not saved me a seat. To this day I don't understand why anyone would do that. I had to sit next to a guy I didn't know and I was extremely uncomfortable. I think I managed to stay about 18 hours. Getting up to leave, I realized my coat was missing. I searched frantically but couldn't find it. It was so frigid cold outside that I didn't want to take the T home. Also, my back hurt . I took a cab home which was a ridiculous amount of money. I had to call the theater the next day and go back for my coat. Grrr. I didn't let the experience stop me, I was back the next year, and the year after that, and the year after that...
One of my favorite Marathon movies was Just Imagine. And one of the most memorable Marathon moments was the audience's reaction to Niagaravation. The director, Romano, was there and the audience hated his film. They really gave him a hard time about it. I felt so embarassed for the poor guy. People were really rude to him.
