B&B from the 1700's

Great!
See other tips for additional info and pics of this wonderful 1700's Inn...gracious and comfortable.
This is the reception area/room. You could take your breakfast here if you like. We sat in front of the big window overlooking the gardens at the back of the house where all the birds come to visit.

Deerfield Inn Parlor

Here is the front Parlor of the Inn...a reception area...or place to relax. Quite formal, really.

The only Inn in town



Unique Quality: The Deerfield Inn is the only one in town...and has the only restaurant in town. It is right in the center of the mile long stretch of buildings...and handy for a mid day stop. We didn't choose to stay here ... or to have lunch here. We felt our B&B built in the 1700's and located just about 15 min. away...was better suited to us. However, the Deerfield is a large, formal, well appointed facility, if the 1800's is what you crave. :-)

Historic Deerfield Visitors Center

Begin your tour at the visitors center. You will be supplied with maps and information re: events, tours, which buildings are open and closed...history of the village. You can buy tickets for admittance to all the buildings. Or, if you wish to be more casual, you might simply do a walking tour w/ brochures and visit the gift shop, nature walk, and the Deerfield Inn.
Enjoy the 330 year old mile long street of a prosperous early New England town. There are four dozen 18th and 19th century buildings .
