The City's Only Real Hotel
With the recent purchase of the Lowell DoubleTree by the University of Massachusetts, the Courtyard is the city's only traditional hotel. It's a nice property, pretty basic, but the people who work there are friendly and the quality is in line with other Courtyards I've been to. Often, the local convention and visitors bureau offers good deals on this hotel not found elsewhere, so if you're looking for a room, I'd recommend checking their site as well as Marriott's: www.merrimackvalley.org
