For years Nantucket has been a favorite painting destination. Now, for a second year, staying at the Century House has enhanced this experience with the warmth of its host and staff, the scrumptious breakfast and painters pasta dinners and the ambiance of its beautiful rooms. It was a delight on a rainy day to stay indoors and paint the lovely salon.

I planned a surprise anniversary trip (and our vacation) to Nantucket this summer. It was towards the end of June so the island wasn't as packed. My wife and I had the best time though. We walked to the beach and to downtown, rode bikes to Sconset, and visited some of the historic buildings. Our favorite spot is the beach just up the road to the right off Cliff Road. We of course loved the sandwiches at Something Natural, but who doesn't? Everyone at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and renovated. We stayed in The Black Orchid Room which was like new. The small private porch was convenient every morning for breakfast. We also loved the daily baked cookies. We couldn't wait to get back from the beach, just in time to smell them as we walked in. My wife was very happy. We're planning to come back next summer.

We loved this inn, walking distance to everything. Clean, quiet, comfortable, homey. The cookies were delicious served every afternoon. From the moment we arrived we were happy we chose this inn. Our Room Red Dahlia had a wonderful king bed with pillow-top. Of couse we didn't want to leave. As first timers we didn't know what to expect but the innkeeper gave us helpful information. We loved the staff, always helpful and friendly.
great history, large rooms, large private baths, delicious cookies, homey atmosphere, friendly staff.

We finally made it to this faraway island...perfect weather during our October getaway, a six day bliss. We stayed here (Century House), a luxury bed and breakfast on Cliff Road, a beautiful historic building from the 1800's, cobblestone streets surrounded with great views. What a pleasant, breathtaking fall destination!!! The rooms are decorated with paintings of Nantucket, antique furniture and plenty of books. We even met some of the artists painting there. The location is great for walking or simply sitting on the porch to relax. On foggy days we loved the homemade baked chocolate chip cookies. Fantastic staff and an awesome breakfast! We highly recommended.
Loved the updated new rooms. The decor remains Nantucket-like historic, with great Victorian appeal and modern amenities. This is the true Nantucket experience. On Cliff Road close to the Century House is a sandwich place called Something Natural on Cliff Road. This has the best bread, freshly baked. Very popular. Best eaten on the beach.
good quiet location

I booked for a single and was given an attic room but he window would not open and i felt this was a little unsafe. It was on the 3rd level of an old restored home
The service was very good, with breakfast on offer each morning between 7.30 am and 10.30 am Theme: InnPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: North Water Street, Nantucket

Flowers outside our cottage by bdwoot We had this gorgeous but incredibly tiny place in Sconset, which is a town on the east end of the island. It overlooked a beach and was close enough to hear the waves. It was short enough where I couldn't stand up while cooking, but other than that it was nice.
It was in a neighborhood of other tiny places, all of which I couldn't afford given double my salary. It was a short walk from the bus stop, the only way to get around in Nantucket. Theme: OtherPrice: US$120-180 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageDirections: In Sconset town
