More about Oak Bluffs Inn

Oak Bluffs Inn was music to our ears

by A TripAdvisor Member

The Oak Bluffs Inn captured everything we wanted in a Vineyard vacation. Located right on Circuit Avenue, the main street in Oak Bluffs, the inn provided us with a relaxing and comfortable home while keeping us close to the fun and activity of the town. The Inn is a reasonable walk from the ferry landing in Oak Bluffs harbor, and right down the street from many fine shops, scenic parks, restaurants and night spots.

The Inn itself is very inviting, with comfortable and well-decorated rooms and a lovely front porch overlooking Circuit Avenue. We loved being able to sit in the rocking chairs and plug in our iPod to enjoy a customized soundtrack to our weekend through the speakers mounted on the porch. Nothing too loud, mind you, just relaxing summer sounds as we watched the tourists and shoppers stroll past us down Circuit Ave. Our room had everything we needed, including an immaculate private bath and very nice furnishings. Then there's the tower, a fanciful spire that rises from the third floor of the inn, resplendently lit, and offering a wonderful view of the town, the harbor, and the ocean beyond. Bring your camera.

Erik and Rhonda were fabulous hosts, with a uniquely laid-back approach that was completely without stuffiness (our least favorite characteristic in an innkeeper). After staying in a few other nice places in Oak Bluffs, we found that the Oak Bluffs Inn matched them in comfort and surpassed them in atmosphere and proximity to all the fun that the town has to offer.

Charming Inn and Charming Island

We loved our stay at Oaks Bluff Inn - fantastic location right in the centre of town, charming room and a very friendly Aussie gardener ! Only disappointment was we still have not ever seen a skunk - Highly recommend a few nights at Oaks Bluff Inn - excellent accommodation.

Relaxation and Hospitality at it's Finest!

by A TripAdvisor Member

Let me just tell everyone reading this...... The Oak Bluffs Inn is Spectacular! If you are looking to get a way and enjoy a weekend (or week) of fun and relaxation, this IS the place to stay on Martha's Vineyard. Eric treated our friends, my wife and myself like family and went that extra mile to make sure everything was perfect! Picture, sitting on a porch in a rocking chair with your favorite drink in hand, your best friends at your side, and reminiscing about old times. Now add Eric to the mix chatting about his memorable guests from the past..... (I'm sure you will hear all about us) We had such an incredible time on the "infamous" porch, that we cancelled our dinner reservation on our last night to spend the last bit of time there before catching our ferry home. And what do you know?? Eric organizes our dinner to be served to us by the restaurant on the porch. What an ending to an incredible weekend.... Thanks for everything Eric and we will see you soon! Oak Bluffs Inn Rocks!

We spent 3 nights at the Oaks Bluffs Inn 4th of July weekend and had such an amazing time. We were 6 people total and had a better time than we ever expected. Eric, the owner was so helpful and knowledgable of the island, restaurantes and beaches, we had NO WORRIES from the minute we got on the island. The rooms were clean and spacious and we really were in the middle of everything, great dining, shopping and partying. We spent most our nights relaxing on the OBI Porch and meeting tons of people walking by or hanging with other guests. I-Pod speaker connection is available on the porch, so that you can sit back and enjoy your own music. If there were rooms available, we would have stayed another night or two. My husband and I will definitely be returning this summer. If you are looking for a fun, relaxing place to stay, this is your place! E-dog the cookies rock and thanks for everything!

Oak Bluffs Inn - Best B&B in Martha's Vineyard!!

by A TripAdvisor Member

Three of my friends and I just returned from our first visit to Martha's Vineyard and I wanted to write about our awesome experience. On the last day of our trip, we were eating our last meal and going around the table to see what the best part of the trip was for everyone...we were all in aggreement that the bed and breakfast that we stayed in was by far the best part of the whole trip!!! The Oaks Bluff Inn turned out to be so much more than we imagined...we all just figured that it would be somewhere to just sleep and shower at but we spent a great deal of time hanging out aroung the house, getting to know the staff, and sitting on the porch "people watching" - it is located on circuit avenue, one of the main roads in Oak Bluffs - and it's been known for some celeb sightings!! The owners and staff members were very helpful with giving up reviews and reccommendations on the good things to do on the island which was very helpful in making the most out of our trip. The house was so cozy and comfortable you felt as if you were home and the staff was extreamely welcoming - we all went into vacation mode the moment we walked up to the front porch and we welcomed by the owner. Wonderful continental breakfast every morning, delicious cookies and lemonade every afternoon, great coffee table reading material, beautiful view from the front porch and tower, clean towels and freshly made bed everyday, EXTREAMELY nice innkeepers and staff!!!!!! What more can i say...we had a wonderful time and i don't think our stay on the vineyard would have been as great if we stayed anywhere else!!! I would reccommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to have a wonderful relaxing trip to Marths'a Vineyard - we already know that we will be back to the same place next year - the next trip is already in the works - trust me...you wont want to leave!!!!!!!!

mediocre experience in family homestead

We stayed at Oak Bluffs after reading the good reviews on trip advisor. We were disappointed by what we found. The house is in a great location and the owners were welcoming. Our room was nice and very clean, but the rest of the house, occupied by the owner and family was somewhat worn and messy.

The children living in the house were noisy in the morning and woke us up. The breakfast was adequate, but uninspiring.
