Very Satisfied from Montreal
Carpe Diem exceeds all expectations - easily the best Guest House experience I have had after many years on the Cape - or anywhere else for that matter!
I shall soon return! :)

We booked two nights at this great guesthouse and extended our stay to four nights (wish it could have been more). The hospitality and friendlyness here comes from the heart and is genuine. The rooms are super clean and wonderful decorated. Every detail is thought after and makes a stay an experience!
The Spa was such a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. The Steam Room is huge and absolutely beautifully tiled. You feel like being transported to some Oriental place. The Spa area was clothing optional (another nice European touch) and offered a regular Sauna (a bit small) and an outside hot tub !!
Unique Quality: Octogonal Steam Room with oriental tiles

Carpe Diem has it all! From wonderful homemade breakfasts to cozy comforters, fireplaces and fountains.

We had an awesome time! We actually had booked our stay at another Guest house that "lost" our reservation! Carpe Diem was an unexpected Surprise! The room was beautiful, the owners and staff were attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast was amazing! We plan to return in October and for may years to come! Thanks Guys!
By far Carpe Diem is one of the finest guest houses in which I have ever stayed. Warm hospitality, exquisite breakfasts and special treats such as wine and cheese each afternoon and extra comfy beds. My stay was such a pleasure!
Many thanks to our marvelous hosts: Rainer, Jürgen and Hans!
The moment we arrived we were amazed by the elegance of the home. And I say home because it was just that, a home. We felt so welcomed from the moment we stepped in to our sad departure.
The house was amazingly put together. It was cleaner than any place I had stayed previously. And their designer deserves special recognition. Each room is named after a famous writer and in that room contains books by that author. We stayed in the Tennessee Williams room, which was right down the hall from the Walt Whitman lounge. In the lounge contained complementary Sherrie as well as books and videos for leisure. In the dining room in the morning guests were welcome to come enjoy breakfast made to your taste. If eggs were not your choice, delicious meats, cheeses, bread, and fruit were available. And of course, coffee and espresso was available any time of the day from their very modern coffee machine that ground beans for every cup. In the evening, before dinner, wine and cheese hour was served outside in the beautiful garden. And as we sat in the garden enjoying our drinks, we relaxed in the beautiful atmosphere of classical music and artwork of man and nature. I truly cannot say enough about our stay and will leave the rest for you to find out.
This is the second time we've had the pleasure of staying at the Carpe Diem and the service and accomadations get better and better. The house has a peaceful atmosphere and the breakfast is beyond compare. There's no reason to go anywhere else first thing in the morning. Our hosts are charming and witty and the other guest are always interesting and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and charming and the back yard is peaceful and quiet. A great get-a-way all around.
We've found our home away from home in P-town.

This was my fifth stay at the Carpe Diem, and I love it more and more each time. My husband and I higly recommend the cottage, which is very spacious. Jurgen, Rainer, Hans, and Herbie made us feel extremely comfortable and eager to return.
We had a wonderful time here! The owners and
hosts are fantastic. They all ensured that we had
an excellent time - including making all of
the necessary restaurant recommendations and reservations.
We enjoyed sitting outside in the garden to have
our breakfast... truly a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The other guests that stayed at the Carpe Diem were
also very enjoyable. We loved chatting with them
about their ideas and experiences in Provincetown
and elsewhere. We would stay here again and recommend
it to you.

Q: place to stay on the docks? "A friend told me that there was an affordable place to stay with small "shacks" literally on the docks in p-town. Does anyone..."
A: "There are a few places that are built on wharfs, notably Captain Jack's Wharf on the West end of town and Angel's Landing or Poor Richard's Landing on the East End...."
