More about The Inn at Cook Street

Beautiful Inn at Cook Street

by TripAdvisor Member bepeterson

We had the most lovely stay at this Inn. A great location within walking or biking distance of everything! The Inn itself is pristine, seemingly brand new. Our Inn Keepers, Doreen and Lisa couldn't have been more accomodating or kind offering local information, resteraunt choices, coupons, and fresh baked goods for our group before whale watching! Breakfast was fabulous (especially the coffee!!!) both mornings we stayed. The gardens, roses, and beautifully appointed rooms were all amazing. Don't miss this beautiful Inn if you are staying in P-Town. A & S Peterson, Westport.

Coddled by two wonderful inn keepers

by A TripAdvisor Member

This delightful [and extremely clean] inn is situated on a quiet street but close to the town center.

The inn owners coddled us with suggestions on what to do and were thoughtful enough to make personal calls to the owners of the best local restaurants to secure dinner reservations for us over the busy July 4th period.

My family and I recommend a visit even for the most discerning traveler.

A magical place to write

by A TripAdvisor Member

I just spent four wonderful days at the The Inn at Cook Street. My room the 'Yardley' with its king size bed, walk in closet, armoire, writing desk, private bath and all comforts one expects in a first rate inn, were all condusive to my goal, a blissful place to spend time writing. The inn keepers always mindful of the need guests have for privacy lent their special touches such as the delicious fresh ground/brewed coffee, fruits, unexpected snacks, beautful flowers all adding to the comfort and ease they create for their guests' enjoyment. Breakfasts were healthful, well presented wth fresh homemade breads. One could eat at the table adjacent to the immaculate open kitchen and finish coffee on the decks overlooking the garden. The inn itself restored and completely updated is a great house with the classic look of Provincetown. Close enough to town, only a short walk from shops, galleries and beach it still feels far enough away for the calm, gracious experience I wanted.. This is a top notch place I look forward to enjoying again.

Accomodations and Location Perfect

by A TripAdvisor Member

"Thoughtfulness" was the mantra here. And unstinting hospitality. Only a few blocks from the town center, the Inn at Cook Street was an oasis of quiet. I came alone, and immediately felt at home. With a lovely, secluded garden for meditation, and gorgeous flowers everywhere, the Inn's immaculate main house and two small cottages are beautifully equipped with every amenity. My cottage had a fridge and microwave. Breakfasts were splendidly varied and appetizing, with outstanding coffee, in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The proprietors, Lisa and Doreen, provided information and suggestions that made my experience memorable. I would give the Inn at Cook Street the very highest rating. It doesn't get any better.

Gracious Hosts

by TripAdvisor Member NancyGNorwalk_CT

I was amazed that this newly refurbished establishment felt so much like home. Doreen and Lisa have created an environment that gives the impression of many years of loving attention. The Inn is beautifully appointed but the attraction is the hosts themselves. The word "welcome" is inadequate to describe the way they make their guests feel. I visited the Inn as part of a writers' retreat. I hope the Inn will be available to others for similar events - it is a natural. It was peaceful and quiet, conducive to a writer's needs. The proximity to shops and galleries provided the opportunity for necessary "breaks." Thank you, Doreen and Lisa, for a wonderful visit - I'll be back. I can't wait to bring my husband.

High End Service in a competitive Market

by A TripAdvisor Member

2 weeks ago, at the last minute we decided to get away to PTown MA. For anyone familiar with going to PTown on a holiday weekend, you cant find a room without doing the usual over rated 3 night minimum. Not convenient for folks who have very busy work schedules. In any case, placed a call to Cook Street Inn, decided to try something new in the East End of town, we were not dissapointed. From the moment we called to the moment we left, we fell in love with this place. Going to PTown allot, having stayed at the Brass Key most visits, we didnt think a place could compare. We were proven otherwise. Lisa and Doreen made us feel at home from the start. From being picked up right at the ferry when we got off, to driving us back after we had checked out, the level of service impressed us. The guesthouse itself, is a beautiful GreeK revival in the East End of town. Close to galleries, restaurants, and shops. But far enough from the craziness that is central PTown. You get the best of everything here. The house/and service itself truly reminds us of what a "B&B" is really about. We will definitely be back and have already told our friends about this. Its refreshing to travel to the tip of the cape and get 4 star accommodations and service that is lacking in other parts of town. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is the Best Inn in P Town

by TripAdvisor Member elizlesser

If would like to be taken care of like family (the kind of family you always wanted to have, that is), then come to the Inn at Cook Street. Beyond the fact that it is perfectly located in perfect P Town, and that the rooms are charming and comfortable (we stayed in the Koi Cottage which was totally wonderful, private, beautiful, and had everything one would need in it), and that the breakfast and coffee were fabulous--besides all of that, there are Doreen and Lisa. Their idea of service is to be available for all kinds of questions, directions, helpful hints at where to go, books to read, etc, but never to be intrusive. I don't know if I have ever experienced such a perfect balance of friendly, homey service with lots of space and privacy. Not an easy thing to pull off! Sitting around the table with the other wonderful guests in the morning was such a great way to start the day. And to add to our perfect vacation (we stayed for 5 days), when we had packed up and were ready to leave, our car wouldn't start. Lisa got right on it, helped us call AAA, found a great mechanic, got us right in, and only because of her help, we were able to get home. And now we are missing P Town, Cook Street, and Doreen and Lisa. My husband and I will be back!

The Kentucky Boys

by TripAdvisor Member tobykoy

How the girls at Cook Street could deal with 9 guys from Kentucky is beyond me. They were wonderful hosts, sort of like a mother at a fraternity house and the breakfast Lisa cooks up every morning is above and beyond. They seemed to enjoy our company as much as we did their hospitality. What more can you say about an inn that makes you feel as comfortable as you are in your own home while actually being on vacation. As far as the rooms, clean is not a good enough word, immaculate and spacious is more precise. The garden or the second floor deck are wonderful locations to set back and take in the Cape Cod air. I think I can speak for the 9 of us, does it sound like we enjoyed ourselves? THANKS Lisa and Doreen for everything!

The Best

by TripAdvisor Member actor1

Lisa and Doreen are the most gracious, kind, and friendly hosts that I have ever stayed with.
the house is magnificent, the grounds are glorious, the food is sensational and these ladies are wonderful people. If you can get in, stay here. Oh and keep in mind that i have stayed 15 other places in Ptown and would never consider any place other than Inn at Cook Street from now on.'
