Captain's House

Comfortable B&B with Incredible View

We found this place on the Web. You can check their room availability on their website. Without us saying a word, the inn keeper (owner?), Gretchen, greeted me by my name upon our arrival. This is an example of how friendly the service is. The common area/sitting room has some nice coughes. It is linked to a deck/porch where you'll get an enormous 180+ degree of ocean view. Right next to the sitting room is the dining area, where abundant amount of sunlight comes through the window while you eat your breakfast. Breakfast - standard continental style... We had coffee, juice, fruits, cereals, toasts, yogurt and my favorite was the home-made banana bread! There are 5 rooms on the 2nd floor (not sure about 3rd floor). We stayed at room #3 which faces the parking lot and has a partial ocean view. I took a peak at other rooms. Two rooms face the ocean and are bigger in size. Generally all rooms are clean and pretty. There is no A/C in the rooms, but the natural sea breeze is cool enough (it was early July when we stayed there).

Unique Quality: The inn is right by the sea so their view is unbelieveable. You can enjoy it from the breakfast room, the deck or outside in the backyard.
