Warmth

Here is the fire place in our room at the Northey St. B&B the fireplace didnt work but there were candles in there that you could light for a nice romantic feel.

Now Thats What I Call A Staircase!: Three Storys

While I stayed at the Northey Street B&B we were on the thrid floor and this is a shot of the third floor looking down the staircase. It was hard to climb these stairs after walking all day long haha!

Best Western Salem Waterfront: Brand New Accomodations

When planning our Salem Adventure I checked out this hotel, but it was already booked up. According to the website, constuction was not even finished and the place was booked solid! It was just completed in time for this years Haunted Happenings Extravaganza. It has 86 rooms. . Not far from the water, it is situated between the two busy parts of town, the marina and downtown. Just a minutes walk away from either. We passed it a few times on our travels about town
Make sure to call well in advance if you would like to stay here for Halloween, and keep in mind that many hotels/ B & B's have a 5 night minimum for that weekend, this hotel does not, so it might be a good choice for a weekend stay.

The Stepping Stone Inn: Sleeping by the Witch Museum

Mine was a day trip so I didn't stay overnight in Salem. But the Stepping Stone Inn caught my eye as I was leaving the Salem Witch Museum. Can't say anything about it but it seems nice and cosy and it is right in the heart of Salem, close to its major attractions.

Best Western Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites: Hotel on Pickering Wharf

Features over 101 rooms, ground floor shopping, a family style restaurant and lounge, and convenient on premises banking. Centrally located on Derby Street in downtown Salem by Pickering Wharf parking lot.

Construction is expected to be completed in May 2004. I'm looking forward to trying out their Regatta Cafe & Pub some Friday night!

Many of the rooms are equipped with kitchens which is great for a family that doesn't want to eat out for every meal.

Or eat in their Regatta Cafe & Pub which offers casual dining in a bistro atmosphere.

Check their website for rates and availabiltiy.

Stepping Stone Inn: Stepping Stone Inn

Approx. $120 + per night

Built in 1846 for Benjamin True, a naval officer, the inn has 8 unique guest rooms. Located in the very heart of Salem, and just a stone's throw from the museums, many historic sites and the city's major shopping and tourist attractions. Very charming Inn and the owner was very friendly and attentive.

There's only 1 Hotel in Salem,...

There's only 1 Hotel in Salem, and that's because the owner's have more money than God and have the funds and political power to prevent another one from being built.I highly recomend that you stay at one of the Hotels in the surrounding communities or at one of Salem's great B&B's
