More about Morning Glory Bed & Breakfast
Staying at Morning Glory was glorious

Bob, the innkeeper was most accomodating for our late arrival. We found our room to be warm & cozy, clean & neat. In the morning we had a great time at breakfast, meeting the other guests. There were two couples from England, and a couple from Oklahoma. It was wonderful to meet them all.
We had a delightful time even though it was only for one night. Next time it will be longer.
The Best B&B in New England!!

We have stayed at the Morning Glory B&B several times over the past few years. Our Host Bob Shea has always made us feel right at home. His attention to detail is impeccable. The rooms are furnished in Classic New England style. Great for a romantic getaway, or as a home-base to travel around the North Shore. A quick ride North to Rockport, or South to Boston make this B&B a great Central location. We not only visit during the Halloween Season, but during other times of year. The town has many great restaurants and shopping and many fun/relaxing things to do. If you want to be treated in a manner of style, class and personal attention, don't even think of staying anywhere else!!

The innkeeper of Morning Glory B&B is refreshingly friendly. The room was beautiful and spacious and even contained a serving dish full of candy kisses and a welcome gift of fruit in the room. The location is central to the historic area.
Morning Glory B&B - Home Away From Home

Stayed 4 nights at the absolutely wonderful B&B in Salem, the Morning Glory B&B. Right across from the House of the Seven Gables, with roof-top views of the water, it is quaint and the location perfect. Very easy access to the primary sites in Salem - about a 10 minute walk at most to places like the Peabody-Essex Museum, Witch House, and walking tour starting points. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit (yum!), orange juice, coffee or tea, and wonderful, homemade breads. Bob, the proprietor, has regular help from his delightful parents, and all make you feel right at home. Many thanks to Morning Glory for a thoroughly enjoyable stay!!
Quiet, Charming--a pure delight

We arrived a bit early (aproximately noon) but went to the door hoping we could leave our car parked there until we could officially check in. Bob's mother, Mary, answered the door and immediately welcomed us inside. She showed us the entire house and allowed us to check in early. Bob's dad was working around the house, gardening and doing odd jobs. They were more than willing to give suggestions of where to eat, what to see, etc. They are located within walking distance to everything "touristy" in Salem--the Witch Museum, Peabody-Essex Museum, House of Seven Gables, etc.
Breakfast always included some of Mary's homemade goodies. She even made sure to have Irish Breakfast Bread (with carraway seeds and served with marmalade--was a unique taste--I liked it!) because there was another couple there from Ireland.
The rooms were clean, bright, and had nice little touches--chocolates in a bowl, fruit to munch on. It was nice and quiet; which I think if you were to stay more toward the center of town would not be the case.
I want to go back to Salem just so I can stay again!!!
Very nice place to stay...

We stayed at the Morning Glory for one night recently on our way to destinations further north. I saw positive reviews here and thought I would try to book for one night to start our trip a day earlier than originally planned. I was surprised, but happy, that bed and breakfast could accommodate us with a one night stay. The Morning Glory has a great location within walking distance of everything. We brought our bikes and enjoyed biking around Salem. We also visited the House of the Seven Gables (across from the B&B) for a guided tour. We enjoyed what we saw and will definitely come back and stay again to see more of Salem. The Morning Glory was attractive and cozy inside and out. Our hosts, the proprieters parents, were very friendly and made us feel comfortable. We stayed in the Rebecca Nurse room and were impressed with the care with which it was furnished and decorated. There were nice touches everywhere. We would definitely stay here again.
The best place to stay in Salem

We booked one night at the Morning Glory, having found it online, and loved the place so much that we extended our stay in Salem for an extra night.
The location of this hotel is perfect - just opposite the Seven Gables House, and a short walk to all of Salem's other museums and attractions. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast featured breads home-baked by Bob's mother, and some of the best tasting fresh fruit salad we've had.
Bob was a warm, welcoming host, who went out of his way to make sure that our trip was as easy and relaxing as possible - everything from accommodating our indecisiveness over when to leave, to recommending some great places to eat, to the umbrellas we could borrow on our final rainy morning in Salem.
We'll certainly be staying at the Morning Glory on any future visits to the area.

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights and found the Morning Glory and the host (Bob) to be a very pleasant experience. Our room was quite cozy and relaxing. We loved the fact that we could walk minutes from this B&B to all the local attractions. We would most eagerly recommend the Morning Glory to anyone who is not sure what to expect.
