This is a town I used to frequent with friends on weekends. People of the Sun used to play up here all the time and we'd roll up with them.
Now I go when I'm in the area for flights from Bradley and have found one of my favorite all time restaurants. Unfortunately on our last visit to Springfield in April 2009, we discovered that our favorite restaurant L'uva is now closed...another victim of this terible economy.
I came to visit and stayed almost 9 years now.
What I would like to emphasize is that the Springfield Armory has some really neat programs.
They share a gate with the Springfield Technical Community College, where I am a student, and I have found the information and programs there great.
Also it is a great place to come in June when they have a Civil War encampment. People dressed up like Civil war folks and you just seem to be transported back to 1862 or so.
